Dr. Mag. | MSc | GMBPsS
Marilisa Conese Gordon is an independent behavioural strategist working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, behavioural science, communication and business performance.
Her work combines behavioural science, psycholinguistics, communication strategy and commercial leadership to help organisations translate AI adoption into measurable and sustainable business outcomes.
She currently serves as Chief Growth Officer and partner at Gordon & Franklin Medical Consultancy, where she leads initiatives across growth, strategic positioning and business development. Earlier in her career, she held senior commercial and marketing leadership positions, including Commercial Director and Marketing Director roles focused on growth, customer engagement and communication strategy.
Alongside her commercial experience, she has built a multidisciplinary academic background spanning psychology, linguistics and human behaviour.
She is a Doctor in Foreign Languages with a specialisation in Linguistics from the University of Urbino, where her thesis in psycholinguistics explored linguistic determinism and cultural relativism, examining how language shapes cognition, perception and human interpretation.
She later completed an MSc in Psychology at Brunel University London through a British Psychological Society-accredited conversion programme. Her quantitative research examined the relationship between Borderline Personality traits and Transition to Siblinghood (TTS) experiences. She is currently a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS).
Over the last few years, she has worked on the quality analysis of Large Language Models (LLMs), contributing to projects focused on semantic and discourse-level analysis, multilingual equivalence, compliance adherence and the evaluation of AI-generated persuasive language. She has further strengthened her expertise in responsible and human-centred AI through executive education in AI governance, with a particular focus on trust, adoption and organisational implementation.
Her approach to consulting is informed by a unique combination of commercial leadership, behavioural science, communication strategy, psycholinguistics and hands-on experience evaluating LLMs.
Rather than viewing generative AI purely as a technological capability, she approaches it as a system that shapes communication, influences behaviour and affects trust, adoption and customer experience — factors that ultimately determine whether organisations realise meaningful and sustainable value from AI.
Her current work focuses on helping organisations introduce AI in ways people adopt, customers trust and businesses can sustain.
